Fearless Wallet is all about safety & security, so if you're sending funds to potential baddies or sketchy withdrawal addresses, our brand new anti-scam feature will notify you about that
Inject your mobile wallet to the Fearless Wallet browser extension & sign dApp transactions on the mobile side
An address is active when it holds a set minimum amount on the Polkadot and Kusama networks, this quantity is called the existential deposit (ED). In Polkadot the ED is currently 1 DOT, while on the Kusama network, it is set at 0.0000333333 KSM. If wallet funds are lower than the existential deposit amount, the account will be deactivated (reaped) and any remaining funds are destroyed. In order to reactivate it, you must send an amount larger than the existential deposit. However, this will not restore the destroyed funds.
Further useful information:
If you contribute to crowdloans, make sure that your balance doesn't drop below the existential deposit or that you contribute your entire balance.
If you are staking, do not direct staking rewards to an inactive account. If rewards are less than 1 DOT (0.0000333333 KSM), you will lose them.
If you're sending a transaction that will reduce your balance below the existential deposit, you will be notified with the following message:
You can read more here:
In the Wallet section of the Fearless Wallet app, you can easily and intuitively select which assets to display, and in which order as shown in the video tutorial below:
All Polkadot and Kusama crowdloans that use default flows are already supported in Fearless Wallet. However, some projects introduce custom flows (eg. Moonbeam, or referrals program) and not all of these custom flows are supported. For more information, ask in the official Telegram group of Fearless Wallet
The minimum amounts are set at 5 DOT for the Polkadot crowdloans and 0.1 KSM for Kusama crowdloans. Some teams may also choose to set their own minimum contribution required for receiving rewards.
Setting a maximum contribution amount allows teams to place a cap on the rewards that they are willing to offer crowdloan contributors, and may differ from the hard cap set by either Polkadot or Kusama on the blockchain.
No, it is only possible to contribute tokens that are transferable and not locked in any way.
According to the Polkadot Wiki: "Tokens used to participate must be transferable — that is, not locked for any reason, including staking, vesting, and governance — because they will be moved into a module-controlled account that was generated uniquely for this campaign."
If the project you contributed to wins, your DOT/KSM will be locked for up to 24 months/48 weeks respectively (please confirm the slot duration with the project specifically, as they will be the ones to define the duration).
If the contributed project loses, your DOT/KSM will be returned at the end of the next era after the auction batch has ended.
If the crowdloan project you contributed to wins, your DOT/KSM will be locked for up to 24 months/48 weeks respectively (please confirm the slot duration with the project you contributed, as they will define the duration). Your rewards will be transferred to you by the project themselves. It usually takes some time for the winning project to distribute rewards. You should contact the project to inquire about any specific distribution dates for rewards, or you can check whether the tokens have been distributed on the sub.id website, using your address.
Please note that sometimes projects will ask you to claim your rewards first. If you're facing issues, please join official Telegram group of Fearless Wallet.
The Fearless Wallet team is working on adding new Parachain and Substrate-based tokens to the app. You can ask about a specific token in the official Telegram group of Fearless Wallet.
The minimum amount for staking is determined by the Polkadot and Kusama networks, Fearless Wallet has no influence over these quantities. You can check the minimum amount on the Fearless Wallet interface.
Your stake is inactive because the Validators have reached the maximum amount of nominators allowed. Validators can only payout 256 nominators per era. If a validator has more than 256 nominators, it is considered "oversubscribed", and therefore, only the top 256 staked nominators (ranked by the quantity staked) are paid rewards. In other words, if a validator is oversubscribed and you are stake number 257 or higher, you will not receive any staking rewards. The Polkadot team is working on this limitation. The only solution that we can recommend is to select a different validator who is not oversubscribed
To see your mnemonic phrase in Fearless Wallet go to Settings -> Wallets -> "circled i" -> Three dots next to correct Network -> Export Account -> Mnemonic passphrase and write down the 12 words somewhere safe and private. Never share it with anyone!
If you're experiencing any kind of connection issues, the first thing we'd recommend you to do is Switching Nodes. In order to switch the node to another one, please follow the steps in this tutorial
Fearless Wallet is open-sourced, non-custodial, and decentralized.
No other application on your mobile has access to Fearless Wallet during the creation of an account. If your device was compromised, your mnemonic will not be liable to be lost.
If your device were to be lost, misplaced, or stolen, the pin acts as a safety net for you to immediately recover your account and open it on a different device to change your credentials and avoid a possible compromise. As your funds are stored on the blockchain, you don’t need to worry about their integrity if your mobile phone is compromised,
You can read more about security here.
Non-custodial crypto wallets give you complete control of your keys and therefore your funds.
These kinds of wallets don’t require you to trust a third party, but they require you to trust yourself to keep your keys (seed phrase) and your wallet secure.
In order to keep your funds safe, you have 2 possibilities:
Save and store the seed/mnemonic safely. You'll be asked to save it when you create your wallet, and you can also save it using the pin afterward. If you haven't already saved your seed, follow the first steps of this tutorial to secure your wallet.
Save and store the JSON file safely, along with its related password. You won't be asked to save them when you create a wallet but you can do it afterward. In order to to do that, follow the first steps of this tutorial.
If you end up losing your phone, access to your crypto wallet or forget your pin, you can only recover your funds if you have previously saved your seed/mnemonic or you have the JSON file & password.
Admins will never DM you! Never share your mnemonic passphrase/seed/Restore JSON with anyone, under any circumstance.
Be careful. There are a lot of scam wallets on the Google Play Store. Once you send your tokens to one of them, you will never be able to get them back. Stay Fearless!
The Fearless Wallet mobile apps are developed by SORAMITSU, with support from the Kusama Treasury. SORAMITSU is a Japanese technology company delivering blockchain-based solutions for enterprises, universities, and governments. From the creation of domestic and cross-border payment systems to the development of a completely decentralized autonomous economy, SORAMITSU's projects and use case studies represent the next generation of fintech.
We are conducting public Sprint Reviews on which we present the results and discuss upcoming features with the Kusama Council. We are also collecting feedback and adding all feature requests to the backlog, so feel free to help us with implementation ("Under consideration" column)
Right now the roadmap is under development, but you will be able to see the updated version of the roadmap shortly.
Kusama is a scalable network of specialized blockchains built using Substrate and nearly the same codebase as Polkadot.
No. Kusama is a scalable network of specialized blockchains built using Substrate and has nearly the same codebase as Polkadot. Nevertheless, Kusama is not Polkadot's testnet but rather a canary Network and this means tokens on Kusama have non-zero value. You can read more here.

Using accounts in Fearless Wallet is safe and intuitive. This section contains comprehensive guides to interact with your accounts in Fearless Wallet.
If you'd like to export your passphrase, you can do it in several ways: 1. Whole Account (without Unique Secret) 2. Account with Unique Secret (from the Wallet tab) 3. Account with Unique Secret (from the Settings tab)
That's it! You've just successfully exported your account!
To import your wallet to Polkadot.js, open the Polkadot.js extension in your browser
Click on Import account from pre-existing seed, as shown below
Finally, input your seed phrase
Unfortunately, Polkadot.js does not allow you to export your passphrase once you've created your wallet. (More info here). If you haven't saved your seed phrase, you will have to export the JSON file. Have a look at the next tutorial to learn how to import using a JSON file!
Then click on the Add wallet button and select the "I already have a wallet" option
Select the correct Source type from the drop down menu to use while importing your account.
If you're importing your wallet using the Mnemonic passphrase, you'll have to choose a name for your account in the Fearless Wallet app.
Instead, if you're using a JSON file, you'll also have to type the password you used to protect that wallet on the Polkadot.js extension!
On Substrate, each passphrase can be used to create a wallet across different chains: you can store XOR and ACA, for example, using a single passphrase.
However, It may be the case that you're holding your parachain tokens in wallets created using different seeds. On Fearless Wallet, the Unique Secrets feature allows you to see your tokens that are held by accounts with different seeds in one intuitive interface.
To learn how to do this, watch the tutorial below:
Please note that you're replacing an existing wallet on that specific chain with a new one, and you won't be able to see the tokens held in the previous account anymore in the user interface.
If you haven't taken advantage of the new Unique Secret feature, please do the following: 1. Click on the Wallet tab & then on then on the "bird" icon in the top left corner:
2. Click on the three dots next to your wallet name:
3. And finally, on Export wallet, then Continue → Export
4. Select Mnemonic passphrase, write down the 12-word phrase and keep it safely
If you want to export an account with a Unique Secret here's what you need to do: 1. Go to the Wallets tab & click on the network you'd like to export:
2. Then click on the three dots in the top right corner & select the Export account option:
3. Select Mnemonic passphrase and keep your 12 words safely:
Go to Settings tab and then click on Wallets:
2. Afterward, choose the network you'd like to export and click on the three dots next to it:
3. Select the Export account option, then click on Mnemonic passphrase and keep your 12 words safely:
If you have already saved your passphrase, open the Fearless Wallet app and click on Settings and then Wallets
We're now ready to properly save our JSON File! Set a password and click on Continue. The password will be used in a later stage to export your account.
If you're interested in exporting the Moonbeam or Moonriver wallet, select Export Ethereum, otherwise Export substrate.
You can now choose to export as text or export to file.
The latter is usually easier and more intuitive.
Open the polkadot.js extension and click on Restore account from backup JSON file.
Finally, you will have to provide your newly created .json file and the password you set before.
Fearless Wallet supports importing an account using a JSON file. You can either attach the JSON file or paste the contents of the file into your Fearless Wallet. Before you import an account using this method, you need to have the JSON file at hand and the account password.
To export your account's JSON file, open the Polkadot.js extension on your browser and click on the three dots next to the account you want to export, then select export account: your JSON file will be downloaded automatically.
Open the Fearless Wallet app and tap on Settings and then Wallets.
Click on Add wallet and I already have a wallet.
Select the correct Source type to use from the drop-down menu while importing your account.
A section will appear labeled Restore JSON, tap it, and select Paste JSON if you have the text within the file on your clipboard, or Paste JSON or upload file if you prefer to upload the JSON file.
If you select Paste JSON, Fearless Wallet will paste the content of your clipboard (so by this point you should have copied the text from your JSON file), whereas if you select Paste JSON or upload file, Fearless Wallet will access your phone storage and you can locate and then select the JSON file within your phone's files.
After you have pasted the JSON, you need to input an account Name and Password.
If required, you can tap on Advanced + and select the Keypair crypto type. (The default and recommended setting is Schnorrkel sr25519)
After all the data is correctly filled, tap Next and your account will be available in your Fearless Wallet!
Participating in crowdloans is very easy in Fearless Wallet, first and foremost, make sure you have enough $KSM/$DOT balance in your wallet. With that sorted, navigate to the Crowdloans section on the bottom of the window.
Once you're in, you will see your contributions (if/when you have participated in any) in a list you can access, the available crowdloans with their duration, and those that have expired.
After selecting a crowdloan to participate, you will see the details of the one you have selected. Here you will be able to determine how many tokens you are contributing, preview the reward you could receive and the leasing period, as well as more information on the amount raised by the project and the time left to contribute. You will also have a link to the project's crowdloan page where you can find out more details. When you're ready tap Continue. (We will update this guide soon with information on bonuses through referral codes.)
Finally, you will get the summary of your crowdloan, as well as the estimated reward (as mentioned before, bonuses will be addressed in an update of this guide), and the network fees required for the transaction. If you're happy with that, tap confirm.
The crowdloans should now appear in the "Your contributions" section of your Fearless Wallet.
You can participate in as many crowdloans as you want using your Fearless Wallet. Remember to always do your research on the projects you decide to support.
It is that simple to crowdloan Fearlessly. If you have questions regarding rewards, we suggest you contact the project directly through their website in the Learn (project) Crowdloan section of the crowdloan summary before confirming.
Finally, as Fearless Wallet is a non-custodial wallet that communicates directly to the blockchain, it is possible that you may encounter crowdloans that are already active for participation, even though it is before the officially advertised times. Similarly, if a project decides to end the crowdloan before the blockchain's hard cap, it may appear as though contributions are still accepted. Fearless Wallet has no influence over this and any clarification on the matter will need to be addressed by the project itself.
Using the lastest version of the Fearless Wallet app you can conveniently display your balance in different currencies, such as $USD, €EUR, and £GBR.
In order to change the currency, navigate to Settings in your Fearless Wallet app, then Currency, and select your preferred currency.
Alternatively, you can also switch between currencies in the Wallet section of the app, by clicking on your balance, as shown in the pictures below.
In your Fearless Wallet app, click on Settings.
Then on Wallets.
Click on the three dots next to your wallet for the preferred network.
If you haven't taken advantage of the new Unique Secret feature, click on Export wallet, then Continue, and finally Export.
Finally, click Restore JSON. Now skip to the end of the Case 2) scenario to learn how to properly save the JSON file.
If you want to export an account with a Unique Secrets, click on the three dots next to account with a unique secret you want to export and finally on Export account.
Click Restore JSON.
Note: both the Password and the JSON are crucial as you can't recover your account using just one of them., keep them safe!
NOTE: "Tokens used to participate must be transferable — that is, not locked for any reason, including staking, vesting, and governance — because they will be moved into a module-controlled account that was generated uniquely for this campaign."
Fearless Wallet supports all crowdloans on Kusama and Polkadot
Participating in crowdloans is easy and intuitive using the Fearless Wallet mobile app
Crowdloans are a great way for projects to raise funds to participate in parachain slot auctions, and for passionate users to support the projects they follow in achieving those slots. These projects can participate in one or more auctions for a parachain lease, and users can collaborate throughout the duration of the auctions (you can take a look at the Kusama website for more information on how Crowdloans and Auctions work).
First and foremost, all Kusama and Polkadot crowdloans are supported on Fearless Wallet. With that said, since users will be loaning their funds (this is not really a loan, since funds are returned in full after auctions if the slot is not provided, or after the lease is over if it is), projects offer rewards in the form of their token in proportion of the amount provided by the user. This makes crowdloans an attractive (and perhaps lucrative) way to support projects. Each project will have different rewards (Fearless Wallet does not determine the reward payout or amount, this is done by the projects. Fearless Wallet cannot answer inquiries regarding reward payout dates or amounts), this should be taken into consideration when allocating tokens to each project. There are plenty of projects to choose from here is an overview of the current projects.
Navigate to the Crowdloan tab and you will see your contributed $KSM/$DOT.
In addition, your contribution is shown in the history as a transfer because it's sent to the project's special account.
As per the Polkadot Wiki: "Tokens used to participate must be transferable — that is, not locked for any reason, including staking, vesting, and governance — because they will be moved into a module-controlled account that was generated uniquely for this campaign."
If you're looking for your crowdloan rewards, you can find them in sub.id. For more information about rewards, contact the project you contributed to or join the Official Telegram chat of Fearless Wallet

Directly from your Fearless Wallet mobile interface, all you need to do is tap the Staking section.
At the top, you can select whether to stake DOT, KSM, CAPS, REEF, XOR, GLMR, and more.
You will see the minimum amount to stake in Fearless Wallet (this may vary depending on the current network state).
You can then decide your payout method, the options are Restake or Payout:
If you select Restake your rewards will increase your stake and will continue doing so every subsequent era, ultimately increasing the eventual rewards
If you select Payout, you can supply an address to receive your rewards (if you want them in a different account).
For more information on payouts, refer to the How to Change a Reward Destination section.
The Validators section gives you two options:
Validators suggested by the algorithm will show a list of those that are better reputable and more profitable as well as most trustworthy (this list can change over time)
Your validators will show a list of all validators available, you will be able to filter or search the list based on different criteria.
For more information on Validators refer to the How to Select/Change Validators section.
When you proceed with validators suggested by the algorithm, you will get a list along with an APY percentage. You can select a maximum of 16 validators on Polkadot or 24 validators on Kusama (The more validators selected, the better the overall staking performance).
After you have selected your validators and pressed Continue, you will get a confirmation window that will provide you a summary of your reward payout selection, and the amount of validators you have chosen. Review the network fee, and if you are happy with the results, you can press Confirm.
After confirming, you will be returned to the main staking screen. Depending on the time and date you proceed to stake, you might not commence staking immediately.
Once you have your staking set up, the Staking section of your Fearless Wallet will become the information hub for all your validators. You can easily access and review notifications from them in the Alerts view and have graphical summaries of your staked assets. It is this simple to stake fearlessly!

Stay Fearless!
With Fearless Wallet, staking has never been easier, with numerous networks available, you can earn passive income from blocks generated
The longer you lock your tokens, the better your APY will be
Staking is locking your tokens in the network in order to generate new blocks. Using Fearless Wallet makes the process much simpler, with all the required information presented in a clear and intuitive manner for you to begin staking fearlessly.
Citing the explanation on staking available in the SORA substrate network article SORA VALidator Rewards, "To secure the network, large amounts [...] must be locked up by validators and stake nominators in bonds that will be slashed if bad behavior is detected. This is great for creating economic incentives to keep funds from being stolen or payments from being disrupted by colluding validators,[...]. Therefore, to compensate users who lock up large amounts [...], sufficiently large rewards should be given out[...]."
Network security and reliability are the end goal of staking in the Polkadot and Kusama blockchains, but for many people, the purpose of staking will be to put their tokens to work and earn passive income with each block that is validated and generated. Thanks to the Staking functionality in Fearless Wallet, you can back validators with tokens and get rewards from the comfort of your mobile phone.
Fearless Wallet helps potential Nominators by providing a list of Validators that can receive nominations and have not been slashed, as well as those having the most profits. Decentralization is key here, so you will only be able to select up to two nodes running from the same person or company.
This tutorial will help you understand the process of GLMR/MOVR staking in Fearless Wallet
Go to the Staking tab and make sure Moonbeam is selected at the top of the screen. Afterward, select the amount you'd like to stake by clicking on the Amount box under the Estimated Earnings section. Proceed by clicking on the Start staking button
On the next screen you'll see the Amount of your stake, Network fee you'll need to pay, and the rewards destination section . Make sure everything's correct before pressing the Continue button
Now you need to select a Collator for your stake. Do that by clicking on the corresponding button
The Collators section gives you two options:
Collators suggested by the algorithm will show a list of those that are better reputable and more profitable as well as most trustworthy (this list can change over time)
Stake with known collators section will show you the list of all available collators, you will be able to filter or search the list based on different criteria.
After you have selected your collator and pressed Continue, you will get a confirmation window that will provide you with a summary of your reward payout selection, and the collator you've chosen. Review the network fee and if you're happy with it, press Confirm
After confirming, you will be returned to the main staking screen where all the details about your stake will be displayed. Now you're welcome to either manage your stake (in case you'd like to change its amount), or also change your collator (if you're not happy with your current choice)
If you click on Your stake section, you'll be able to manage your stake by either changing your stake amount on the Staking balance tab, or by selecting a new collator on the Your collator tab
If you decide to change the amount of your stake or just review the details of your current staking balance, click on the Staking balance option
If you'd like to check your collator info or select another collator for your stake, click on the Your collator option
If you return to the main staking screen, you'll see the Analytics section. It consists of a chart that shows you the amount of rewards you got in the last 7 days
Once you click on this section, it will show you some of the additional timeframes for the chart (i.e. 30D / 1Y / ALL) as well as your reward history
